Year End Semi Annual Reports Due this Friday, January 31!

Most of you all filed 2024 4Q Reports early in January. Party Committees, legislative candidates, statewide candidates…when we say “most of you,” we mean “most of you”. You all are in the clear through July 2025 on filing your next report.

Some of us have work to do! If you are a candidate committee and your candidate was not on the ballot in 2024, then you need to file your 2024 Year End Semi Annual Report by this Friday.

The dataset you will enter runs from July 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024. While we haven’t cataloged every potential filer on the planet, we generally look to offices like judges who are in the middle of eight year terms as likely folks who need to file by this Friday.

Remember that North Carolina’s reporting cycle has an “on/off” switch. If you’re “on” the ballot or politically active in an election year, you’ve got your quarterly reports. If you’re “off” the ballot or not politically active, then you’ve got 2 reports: mid year and year end. It’s the year end report that is due this Friday.

Thus, accordingly, in conclusion…if you did not have to file quarterly reports in 2024, then you’ve got a report due this Friday. ElectaFile can help!
